... a journey without a definite route, taken merely for pleasure

After wandering around, admiring the architecture, we went to the Residence Museum, where we spent almost two hours exploring the Residence and the Treasury. Well worth the visit, even if by the end, I was a bit overwhelmed by all there was to see and learn.
Seeing the blue skies as we left the Residence, we decided to head back to Marienplatz to take less gloomy pics of the New Town Hall, or Neues Rathaus.
From there, we made our way to the touristy but fun Hofbrauhaus Beer Hall where we enjoyed a lunch with local brews.
Not a bad start for our first day in Munich after a long flight from the states with very little sleep!
