Gambling in Las Vegas

We escaped the Minnesota winter for a weekend and went to Las Vegas with friends. Some of our friends were there for "WORLD OF CONCRETE" (I've been instructed that this is to be said in a very deep voice) but the rest of us were there just to have fun. This was my first trip to Vegas, and although I'm not much of a gambler, I had a great time playing the slots.

Our friends showed me the good machines, and I was initiated into Vegas with penny slots, Star Wars, and Wheel of Fortune! We embarrassed ourselves with our cheers of excitement over wins of 600 credits ($6.00) on the penny slots and had people peaking over the machines to see what was going on. Our men stayed away, but I'm sure it wasn't because they didn't want to admit knowing us. They mostly played blackjack and 3 card poker.

I also had fun playing Deuces Wild at the bar. I didn't lose too much, our bartenders were great, and the drinks were free, what more can you ask for?

Now I'm back home, where I sit in the middle of a Minnesota freeze, with high temps registering below zero. Add in the wind chill, and frostbite can happen in ten minutes. I wish was back at Treasure Island, drinking Coronas at the bar.

Thank you to David Lee for the picture of us ladies at the penny slots.
